Unhappy Pain, up to another level...

We had a pretty good frost here last night...
Not sure how much damage yet to the garden, was planning to pick all the cucumbers tuesday, but ended up in emergency for half the day,(anyone who knows me, panics when I want to go to the hospital) on my knees trying not to pass out, is not a great sensation. They give me more drugs, which caused stomach issues and gave little relief.. ended up going home..Took enough pain killers on top of the injection at the hospital to dull it a bit...spent the night trying not to throw up... went to my doctors yesterday, tests today, booked more tests, back to the pain management clinic tomorrow morning.... ugh
Only ten days before we leave for antelope, sure hope we can get the pain to a manageable level.... was doing pretty good, was out a bit with the kids, scouting and setting out the camera in different areas.. hope this is just a bump in the road and things level out...
Tired of being sick and tired! But trying to make the best of it for my kids.
Hope everyone out there takes the time to get this season and enjoy themselves, you just never know what tomorrow brings.

That's real crappy. Can somewhat relate. Here's to full recovery with proper diagnosis and treatment! Look forward to seeing some pics in a couple weeks 😊

I truly understand your pain and the trouble it causes you..but you seem to have a good attitude and that is something that will help you along the way to recovery..i know, been there and still suffering from pain myself that will not go away..ever according to the doc...but again your good positive attitude is something that can't be taken away..as said above i am hoping to see some pics after your hunt...good luck and hope this is just a small bump in the road for ya!

Wish it was this easy... I will never be pain free, had nerve blocks, injections, lots of different meds... This is trip number five at the pain management clinic, we are just trying to keep the pain manageable.... I can take a lot, and accept it, and I thank God every day, its me and not one of my kids..
I have a dozen medical issues and two mvas within a year of each other just complicates things and adds to the pain...

Thanks everyone for the well wishes! I will bring back lots of pics from our antelope trip!!

Well the frost didnt do much damage... thats the good news...
The pain, well they told me they have to get that under control...
Looks like the treatments they tried to relieve some of the pain did not work out.. actually made everything worse... especially the pain...
I had injections in both my SI joints about six weeks ago, one wasnt too bad, the second needle took 15 minutes to place... Well both sites infected, swelled and drained.... (sooo much fun) Apparently the infection has spread to the bone. Waiting for more results from bloodwork, bone scan this week... more tests to follow...

Still going antelope hunting just havent told my doctor yet...

Oh my god! Can't believe I didn't see this until now. I'm so sorry to hear what you're going through! I get the feeling we have some health problems in common. There are few things worse than that feeling you get right before you pass out! If you want someone to talk to who can relate, send me a message anytime. Really hoping they can get this under control for you. Big hugs!

If not too personal, what is the root nature of your SI pain?

I endured moderate to occasionally severe Left Side SI pain for over 25 years. In 2007 I was referred to a new physio clinic in Okotoks during a bad episode where my leg went numb and I could not get out of a chair.

The owner of the clinic examined me and stated that she knew exactly what was wrong, but might take a few months to correct. Long story short the sheath on a nerve bundle was being pinched/trapped in the SI joint and had been since 1979.

That was in 2007 and have been pain free since

I am not implying that your fix is so easy. I am just praying that you get some peace in your life.
