Default costco deep cycle batteries

Hey all

Anyone know if Costco in Okotoks carries the deep cycle batteries. Just checked Deerfoot Meadows and they do not carry them. It could save me a trip out to Okotoks....

Thank you

Why don't you just call them?
Then tell us if they carry that item!

Are you sure?!

I've never been in the Costco at Deerfoot Meadows when they "didn't" have them ... and I go there almost every week.

And Molly's right ... the Okotoks Costco is but a phone call away

Mac

They do not have them today....

And I did call out there and I kept on getting directed to someone and sitting on hold everytime....About 20 minutes in total...That is what happens when you phone a big box store

Sometimes I can find an answer quicker on here

Beacon costco does. Heck every costco iv been to has rv deep cycle. They are now carrying the 6v which may be harder to find, but I'm surprised u are having a hard time with normal 12v deep cycles

It is frustrating....

Was at Deerfoot and nothing...Then phoned Okotoks and no go...

Checked costco.ca and not even an auto battery online...

I have used Kirkland batteries for ever and they are the best..

Hopefully someone can shed some light on this..LOL

Are they with the Auto Batteries? Maybe they were out of stock on them but seen no empty spaces or price tags where they should be....

Default Deep cycle battery

I was looking for one in the winter once and was told they only stock during the summer months. Sure enough come spring they were back on the shelves.

Sounds right....Costco is hit and miss....Could be found today and gone tomorrow

Just thought if they carried all batteries that the deep cycle would be a staple item too

x2

Last year - at exactly this time of year - the Costco in Edmonton didn't have them and didn't get them in again till early spring. Looks like a seasonal thing.

Yup ^ ... every Costco I've been in keeps the deep cycle batteries right in with the auto batteries.

As others have said here (but I haven't noticed it before), maybe they're a 'seasonal' item for Costco

If all else fails, try the Costco in the northeast (2853 - 32 Street NE). They are a lower volume Costco than the one in the south, so they may still have some left.

Good Hunting,

Mac

If you notice in that 69.97 price. I was told by a friend that works at costco the .97 at the end of the price means when they are gone thats it no more stock.

You are right. Anything with ending.97 means;when they are gone ,no more coming this season.

I thought that the ".97" just means it's been discounted. The criteria meaning there will be no more stock is an "asterisk" in the upper right corner of the price tag:

From this article: Secret Price Codes

Quote:
Regular priced items usually end with a 99¢ ending but not always. However, the ones with the 97¢ endings are those items that did not sell and must be cleared out. They are marked-down, but unlike all other retailers, Costco doesn't like you to know this, so the don't put the original prices with a slash and then the new price as many stores do. So to take advantage of these special deals, you have to know the code to know it is a close-out.
Quote:
Look to see if there is a asterisk * on the upper right side of the sign. If you see one, it means this item is not being reordered and what ever stock they have in the store will be sold and not replaced. This is a tip off that it might be a marked down item, but not always, but it does let you know that once these are gone there will be no more.

Confirmed ^

I was in the Okotoks Costco today ... no deep cycle batteries, and not even an empty space for them. The clerk in the aisle said Costco doesn't carry deep cycle batteries for the winter, due to very low demand.

Another source for deep cycle batteries would be Canadian Tire, but I don't know how good theirs are. I have no experience with them.

Sunridge Costco had one golf cart battery on the battery racks last night. I saw no other stock that looked anything other than regular auto batteries there.
