My hunting rifle is a savage 11fcxp3, in .308, I painted up the boring black stock last February. It is currently topped with a bushnell trophy xlt with doa reticle (I've had good experience with bushnell, and it fit my price range.). I'm hoping to add on a timney trigger this year. And maybe upgrade the scope in the future. This is my only rifle right now. I bought it because it was in my price range. And so far it hasn't disappointed me.
My 12 ga. Is the winchester sxp. I went with it because of the gas assisted pump mechanism. After shooting it a bit, I'm not crazy about the gas assist. But I think I just need to shoot it more to get used to it. Still a beautiful gun!

I guess the same can be said for scopes.

I'm a big fan of European make rifles like Steyr and CZ and I prefer Nikon scopes. I think Euros make a better quality rifle dollar for dollar. FS

My favourite rifle is a Parker Hale model 1100.
I own an x-bolt, model 70, savage model 16, vanguard... have owned 700s, 760s, sako av, mauser actions.
Kind of have a brand loyalty to savage and weaver. Their sales rep treated me pretty well.

Rem. 700 with a Bushnell Elite 4200. If I had the time, I would try it at longer range. So far 375 yards is my farthest shot. Does the trick for me.
I bought a 243 savage with a bushnell 3X9 on it. For a cheap rifle, it shoots good out to 400 yards.
308 BLR, 7.62X54, 222 rem, 32 spl mod. 94 are all iron sights. Sometimes I like to go old school.

Savage model 99's, Kimber, Winchester, CZ and FN mauser for rifles. I prefer crf more than push feed. Leupold, vortex and zeiss for glass.

A lot of variety in the safe. I'm not brand specific as long as it fits me well, and shoots as advertised.
Currently have Sako, CZx2, Remington, Tikka, Savage, Kimber. Only thing in common is all bolt action and all right handed.
Just finished changing out most of my glass to Zeiss Conquests, with a couple of Bushnells thrown in for good measure (6500, 4200, 3200 and one lone Banner on my .22lr only because I don't see the advantage of long range optical quality on a short range rifle).

I always get a kick out of how many guys still maintain that a Parker Hale is their best girlfriend.
Thats a pretty good endorsement when one considers that they have been out of production for what...over 30 years and that the last of em were only so-so by comparisson to the older ones.
I have two... and yeah... those are my go-to's as well.
I have lots of different rifles that I love but those Parker-Hales would be the last that I'd part with probably.

Win mod 70 .270 classic gun with a modern period scope by redfield 4×12-40. Looking for a 22mag for the minox 3x9. Get glass then get gun , you dont need to spend a ton to get great glass. Shop well

If I could find Parker Hale's and other old Mauser actions in left handed I wouldn't own anything new.

I ummm.... might have run across one a little while back and ummm... passed it up because I prefer to shoot right handed.
Sorry buddy...if I'd only known.

It's all good. If you do come across one again, let me know. What did you come across? Would love to find an older lefty 6.5x55. I'd sell my Tikka.

I am in the process of acquiring a Sako 85 Finnlight in 270 WSM which will be topped with my also newly acquired Nikon Monarch 3, 4-16 * 42 BDC. Looking forward to trying out this new rig.
my go to hunting rifle for the last couple of seasons has been a Browning A bolt Micro in 7mm 08, topped with a Fullfield II, 3-9 by 40mm. This has been a wonderful, light, compact rig and I just love the 7mm as a low recoil but higher performance round.
Now that I am writing this I am wondering why I am replacing my great $800 rig with a $2500 rig????

IIRC it was 7mm Rem Mag with a DBM.
Twas a while back and like I said... I never paid much attention cause
I have two already and no longer switch hit.
I'll keep an eye out and try to remember to drop you a line next time I see a lefty....especially if its a PH that is in descent shape.

I know a guy who has one in a left-handed model. He bought it in an auction in the late 80's. Havent seen him in a bit so not sure what condition the rifle is in or what year it is, but i will look into it if you're interested? It is chambered in 308 Norma Mag.
