My go to rifle is an Accuracy International AI/AE MKII. I also have a custom Rem 700 in an A-5 stock with a Rock Creek M40 contour bbl. I had a TRG 22 and had to sell it . I cry every time I think about it . I also had 2 HS Precision rifles but no longer have them. I had used Leopold but now use Night force. I hunt with the AI, its a heavy *****, 16 lbs but I humped a lot heavier in the military further than I will ever hunt so its not a bid deal.

I have a mossberg 4x4 with a bushnell on top soon to be a vortex. Everyone can bitch about them that they are cheap bla bla bla but it fills my freezer and my families stomach and that is good enough for me.

My cheapest rifle is as good as my most expensive as far as i can tell. However my most expensive scope is a leica and is definitely better than my other scopes. I also like my leopold fx 3 i have 2 of them they just seem to agree with me.

Big game rifles are Sako, Remington and Weatherby Vanguards. Glass is Zeiss and Leupolds. Sako Finnfire .22 sports Leupold.

Couple of Tikkas, a Remington Mtn rifle, TC Encore with a 5 barrel set ............ all wear Zeiss Conquests. My only (less than positive) comment about the Zeiss is that they are a tad heavy, but having said that the glass is excellent quality & great value for money IMO.

Anschutz, Beretta doubles, Winchester bolts and rimfires, Marlin levers. Leupold for scopes but may try a Sightron in the near future.

Brands are somewhat irrelevant to me. Cheap is cheap, usually, and to some extent the expensive stuff can wear out or be broken just as easily. If I like the style of the gun and it is a cartridge I can find a use for, I will buy it. Scopes are bought for the application of the gun. I have no issues with putting a cheaper scope on a .22 for gophers, but, for a low light stand gun, I want a scope I can see the target in, for a carrying rifle I prefer not too big and awkward of one, that is good in low light, and gives good detail. That may be where I get a bit brand conscious. Good glass is brand related.

Well to properly answer your question I have model 70s because I like control round feeed actions and coned breeches and I think you get a lot for your money with the quality of new fn winchesters

glass is trijicon accupoint the reason being the fiber optics that light up without batterys and the low light capability is second to none really neat scopes

Default Thompson Center Encore Series

I've been hunting with the TC Encore's since '05, the Endevour wears Nikon Omega - great 5" eye relief & bright glass, SS Encore 243- Bushnell 10x Tac, Prohunter - 280 Rem Leupold VX1/300 Win Mag- Nikon Monarch 2.5-10x42.

I really like the Nikons with their clear bright lenses and if I had my way all my bbl's would wear a Nikon. But I'm happy with Leupold & the 10x Bushy.
The TC Encore's have the versatiltiy that I like.

Thumbs up

My Marlin lever action 30-30 gets the job done as it has put many deer in my family freezer. The scope is a Simmons, so nothing fancy. I love my Ruger 10-22 varmint gun...It is deadly with a Bushnell scope. I can't spend as much as I would like so my scopes come in at less than $100. The Best 3 Scopes money can buy for the cheap hunter...all under $100 !!

I just bought a new Remington 700 VTR which long term is going to become a long distance rifle. I plan on using it mostly stock (put a Kwik Klip removable magazine in last weekend when I put on the rail and rings) for at least this year before doing any accurizing or putting a nice chassis on it so I can see how it does out of the box.

My other two hunting rifles are Savage 99C lever actions. I just put a new Swarovski 3,5-18x44 BT (ballistic turret) scope on my primary hunter and used it last November. That scope will be going on the Remmie.

My backup 99C has a Bushnell Banner 3-9x40 scope on it which will likely get moved to my primary.

I suspect the Remington 700 will become my primary hunting rifle next fall.

If the remmie groups like I'm hoping it will, I will likely be putting a different scope on it next winter. Something with a true ballistic turret and also a 20 MOA rail. I've been looking over some Trijicon's and will definitely be looking into some Zeiss

Sako 75's and older Rem 700's for me. As for optics, I have Leupolds, Kahles and Nightforce. I just have added a Sightron S III 6x24x50 which may be the most overlooked high quality LR 'scope out there.

I owned and shot many rifles before. My favourite is a Sako with a Zeiss scope.

You know what I say when I hear this. Its what was told to me a long time ago "if you haven't missed a deer you haven't shot at many".

Weatherby and Sako with Zeiss and Leopold - those are my newest rifles/optics.

Still have some older Ruger, Winchester and Remingtons with a royal mixer of mid range Bushnell up to some decent quality Leopolds.
