i Personally love my 300. When i purchased it a couple years ago, friends tried talking me into a 7mm08 and a 280 rem. But i thought i would get the 300 cause i didnt know alot of people who had one. my brother had a 300wsm in the win mod 70 featherweight. I oved it. so i got a regular 300 just to be a little different. I shot everything with it from muskrats to bears. lol a one gun wonder for sure. imo
