South East as in prarie elk? went a hunt with a couple buddies in 102 last year...mainly a spot and stalk game i found, but if you do locate a herd and cant get with range stalking, by all means try calling...called in a big bull down there and all i had was my cow tag....

I have hunted down around Pincher creek, I have found that the elk are rutting the first week of Sept, but really start to get reaved up around the 17th. We had good luck calling, very tough to get the big herd bulls in with there 20 cows with them, but lots of very nice rags hanging around the herd. We took a nice 6x6 scored 366.
