Default New CZ858's are prohibited

Wolverine tried to bring in a new batch of CZ858's with a spartan logo on it. Really nice looking gun. But the RCMP prohibited them based on them being "converted autos"

there is a thread on CGN with the details.

Projecting what's coming down the pipe soon. I'm guessing they don't want people saying you just allowed a shipment in when they prohibit them. Wonder what else they have on their "naughty" list? And is anyone surprised by this?

if they prohibited these, then there is no way that the others arent "prohibited" now.

the only difference is the wood stock on this shipment. watch out cz owners.

I'm sure the RCMP are giggling about their abuse of power right now.

They sure seem intent on sucking up the last tiny bits of respect anyone in Canada had for them.

I'm sure you're jumping for joy as there will be less "scary steel core ammo" being shot on crown land.

Default The RCMP just banned a gun, because there's a picture drawn on the stock.

Sounds like the RCMP are on the ban wagon again.
Wolverine supplies got in a shipment of CZ858's, and were told they were the last ones.
So, they had the stocks lazer engraved to signify that they were the last 300 in the country. Keeping with the 300 theme, they named them the spartan limited edition, put a spartan helmet on the stock, and a greek phrase meaning "Come and take them"
The RCMP felt this was a taunt, and said that since they are a limited edition, they will classify those last 300 as prohibited.

Don't worry, you can take up more space with nonsensical things about fire, heat, and trolling further down the page.

It’s unfortunate I can not compensate your measurement.

I read most of the thread on CGN and I can not understand why this firearm was selected for reclassification. Disarming the population one gun at a time seems to be the plan.

Because they could.
Because they named it differently to signify it was the last shipment, the rcmp could say its not the same gun as the one Blaney specifically un-prohibited.

Default ... so does that mean

All the guys that ordered those rifles from wolverine recently are going to have to turn them in ?

just because of the historical inscription on the stock ?

... are you kidding me ?

TBD

PS ... thanks for the link --- I could watch Faith Goldy videos all day, any nudes of her on the interweb(s) ?

I can't bring myself to believe this. Years ago when I was building AR-15's................I ordered 100 dust covers from Brownells. After getting them in the mail I had them all inscribed "Molon Labe". I sold them all..............there are lots of AR15's with fightin' words on 'em lol. Lots of dust covers available commercially with those words inscribed. So..................I can't believe the Rebel article.....................there is more to this then the Rebel is reporting.......................all news is fake news

I'd like to hear the full story but if a prohibition is being made because the rcmp feel taunted it makes them sound corrupt to me, especially for something so miniscule. Something seems fishy here

Don't take The Rebel seriously please. There is more to the prohibition than a stamp. Doesn't make it ok though..

858s were on their hit list. Could be a care bear picture and the results would be the same. Rugs is right, has everything to do with avoiding a legal challenge once the ban is in place

Pretty sure the Rebel can be taken serisouly in this case and I'm pretty sure there isn't:

CZ858, Prohibited

CZ858, Non-prohibited:

Pretty sure the only difference is the stamp.

The difference is the stamp, and the "limited edition" name they gave it.
Blaney slapped their peepee when they prohibited these before, and reversed the decision.
They're saying these limited edition ones didn't exist when blaney made the exemption, so they're not subject to the exemption.
