Default Brno ZKK 600

Is this gun worth a second look and what kind of shooter is it? Beauty shape in 06.

They are a functional firearm , fit and finish are not quite as good as North American firearms . They are a good design . I have seen them sell from 650 - $1200 for the more desirable calibers.

Late last year, I bought the predecessor ZG47, also in 30-06 as a gift for a nephew. The build quality is high and materials are great. I have observed that most are in European cartridges and finding a good 30-06 is a prize. I would gladly add a Brno to my stable.

Brno is a classic and lots of fine customs started out on that platform.
I really like the scope mounting on them, it’s indexed and with tally quick detach
Rings I can take my scope off anytime I want, stick it back on and it’s right where it started.

The safety is backward pull back to shoot which I don’t like. They came with 2 triggers, a standard one and a set trigger. Mine has the set one, the standard has been lost to the sands of time but I like the set trigger.

I would take a brno over all but the highend north american rifles. Zkk are nice rifles the pop up peep is really nice. Basically a CZ with out cost saving measures. The zg47 is highly regarded as one of the best actions, and came before the zkk. I personally love the brno 21/22 which pre dated the 47.
The brno 21 changed my idea of what a stocking rifle should be!
I have had a few 6.5x57, 7x57, 8x57 and am waiting for my 7x64 to arrive any day!
Check out tradex for all the old brnos!

I've had two of them in the past both 7x64. They were both excellent shooters adn I would not hesitate to get another. I really like the CZ product overall.

The one thing I will say from reloading for it was that it had a lot of freebore. I could never get to the lands with the bullets. But it never hampered accuracy at all.

So I ended up grabing that Brno. It is a 1975 model which would put it in the middle of the ZKK production line. Appreciate the comments from all. The stock on this rifle is superb and I don't believe I have ever shouldered a rifle which is as natural as this one.

If you are referring to the ZKK 600 30-06 out of Ontario, I just bought it. You're right, it's a beauty, Not many around in that condition. Anyway, I hope it's a different rifle than the one you were looking at.

By the looks of it, I guess it was , Good to see you found another one.

Different gun but glad you found one. I actually found one from a guy living off the Alaska Hwy LOL. Don't fully understand the peep vs the buckhorn sight. Did they just make some of both in the 600 ? Mine is buckhorn.

Good buy ! My 600 has the peep. I'm not too familiar with Brno but I know they offered a few different configurations. My older ZKK 602 had a buckhorn. I rechambered that one to 7mm WBY. Great shooter and it fit me well.

Enjoy the new find.

Beautiful piece. I wish I still had mine. It was the exact same model in 7X64. Had the Ziess factory scope with it. Enjoy. Let us know how it shoots.
