Bear Taxidermist?
If you only had one choice to get a bear rug or half mount bear done where would you take it not named Sugar Creek, Alberta Taxidermists only. I am fine waiting several years to get the work done.

I just took mine to cripple Creek taxidermist.
First bear ever, but Russ and Shelly were really great to deal with

Id recommend Chantelle's Creative Creatures in Edmonton. She learned from Ken Walker and her bear pics look great.

Orion Taxidermy in Sask would be the choice if willing to leave Alberta.
Check out Top Notch as well in Coaldale

I would suggest Taxidermy by Richard Page just East of Sherwood Park, he does a lot of Bears, and does great work

Check out Darren with Solitude Taxidermy in Spruce grove. Great people, quick turnaround as he tans his own hides.
He does some wicked bear stuff. Check out his website. He did my sons 54 inch moose and it is an awesome mount.

Thats quite bashful sir, you could have easily left that out and just ignored the comments that had Sugarcreek in them. Unnecessary.

Bad experience with Sugar Creek? Everything I’ve seen come out of there is stunning. Family member has a beautiful half mount cinnamon boar from them and it’s stunning work.

Bear taxidermists
Alberta taxidermy has been specializing in bears for over 40 years. Give Manfred a call. He does a ton of bears for various outfitters.

Pardon? I didn't ask for Sugar Creek because I already know they do great work. You could not assume and look a little less like an ass.

I’ve had a couple of bear rugs done by Top Notch in Coaldale and would recommend them. Good guys to deal with as well.

In the end, Taxidermists are artists and have styles, which don't necessarily appeal to everyone. I prefer raw nature and no fluff. Look at their work before you leap. I've seen some nice shoulder mounts, good alternative to a rug.
