Default Slave lake ice?

Anyone able to share info on ice conditions and access? I’ve only ever fished cutback and that is a really far drive from Edmonton for a day trip so I was hoping to find access’s closer to town. I’ve got snowmobiles or walk on as I imagine it’s atill a little earlier for driving.

Last report I saw was Dec 12 and you could still launch your boat.

I heard from a Slave Lake resident and another who has a yearly shack location near driftpile. west end has lot more ice than east end. west end 12-13 inch east end 6 inch and may still have open water out in middle ( or very thin ice )
