I misread your post then.
But I don't agree that those who voted for Trump mostly hated Obama. It is easy to see that this is not the case from 2012 elections. Romney lost by almost 4%, which is quite significant. And Obama literally crushed both McCain and Romney electoral vote wise. I guess that goes for his socialist views as well. Has Obama's platform changed significantly through out his presidency? Not really, I don't think. The only thing that really took a 180 turn from the beginning to a few years later was relations with Russia.
Maybe there were way too many who either hated or just disliked Hilary in general? I don't know. The voter turn out dropped by nearly 5% percent from 2012 and over 8% from 2008. I am pretty sure (and unfortunately there is no way today to prove me right or wrong) that if Obama ran for office again (i.e. he was the democratic candidate instead of Hillary), he would be the next president of the United States and Trump would loose by record numbers.
P.S. I still have no idea why the dude was awarded a Nobel Prize for peace.
