Heading to Montana. What do they have that we dont?
Heading to Montana next weekend with the Wife and little one.
What do they have in the USA that we don't in Canada? I know the wife already has her heart set on a walker for the kid. What else is there that's worth looking into?

Deals at shoe stores. Famous footwear is my favorite. Golden Corral. Hardees. Great pawn shops

Just keep in mind that walkers with wheels are not allowed in Canada. They will take it away from you at the border.

People at Greenland Gardens were talking about a great weed killer that you can get in the states that we don't have here in Canada yet.

^This is by far the best option if you're within driving distance (2 hours) and make sure you visit with an empty stomach and wearing your buffday pants (stretchy) because you literally will roll out the door.
Just went to FD in June on our Men's golf trip - good thing we were in trucks as they needed the extra carrying capacity.

Wasn't that long ago I was trying to sneak as much liquor and tobacco across the boarder as I can.
Now, it's weed n feed and baby walkers. (And liquor. Who am I kidding?)

Really? Always the opposite for me everywhere I crossed: Ontario, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia and Yukon.
I will tell you what they don't have that we do though: value added tax, ie GST

The woman we had at the US border two weeks ago was the worst one I have ever dealt with....she was something else, she was either deaf or just wanted to yell and bark orders at everyone. All 4 vehicles we were traveling with got yelled at.

I'm surprised. Which crossing? The last 3 weekends I went down was Coutts and Carway.
I dunnno, maybe they like us bikers. Had a nice visit with the guy at Carway 2 weeks ago becuse there was no one behind me. Last Saturday the lady was cracking jokes and very pleasant.
I suppose it depends on the guard and the day.

If there are multiple lanes to choose from, I look for an old fellow, or a young guy. The old fellow has usually seen it all and isn't trying to get a promotion, and the young guy usually hasn't developed much ambition yet. The 30 to 40 year old woman is usually trying to prove herself to get promoted, so she is usually the one that will be trying get the hardest to find something wrong.

Burnt ends and Rib Tips at Daves.
MmmmmMmmm
Snappy Sports may be often overlooked, because Cabelas and Ski Haus are on the other side of town and in the same area.
Montana Club is also another fantastic place to eat. Huge servings!
You can get 5 Watt handheld radios down there too. The canadian borderguards will be looking for them though, only allowed 3 watt in canada.
(They like bikers because you usually pack light and don't have room to smuggle lots of stuff! hah)

Coutts, lady was in no mood for jokes or chit chat lol. We were pulled in for secondary on way to Archery shoot.
The guy who did the secondary was awesome, almost seemed annoyed she made us go in.

The "Going to the sun" road scared the crap outta me. A guy died on it last week taking a picture.
And the boarder guards crossing into the states sucked big time for me. Coming back was fine but going in they grilled me like I was Satan. Wouldn't believe I had never been arrested.

Famous Daves is pretty awesome, although we have one in Winnipeg now.
Old Montana Prison Museum is well worth the stop, even the wife likes it and she hates history. There is a pretty big car museum across the street from it that was included in our ticket price. Was just a great stop overall.
