Sunbreaker cove on sylvan had 10-12 yesterday, there is a pressure ridge with open water in some places on your way out so be careful crossing, no one was driving out other than parking right next to shore where ice was frozen pretty well to the bottom, fishing was meh, caught some but whitefish were already kinda cautious

If anyone here owns or knows who owns the white shack with the blue stripe near Val Quentin at Lac Ste Anne.... it's half in the water and it needs to be moved a couple dozen feet or it's going to be on the bottom of the lake soon.

These shacks all radiate heat and when it's warm like this they melt the ice. I'd go and move it myself tomorrow if I had time but I can't unfortunately.

You should start a thread about this. Not everyone will read this thread.

Default North Buck / Lac La Biche report

12" solid, clear ice at North Buck.

10" Solid, clear ice at Lac La Biche.

Fishing was decent, not great but we didn't get skunked.

On Dec. 13 the ice at the north end of McGregor was about 9” with pockets of open water opposite campground, the point south of the boat launch and immediately adjacent to the north dam. Fishing was slow.

Default Gull Lake

Was at Raymond shores launch area today, 12-14 inches about 3-400 yards out. Lots of cracks which are mostly froze over. Seems to be very clear ice and somewhat clearer water than last year. Need to still be cautious though. Merry Christmas all!

In a week there will be little to worry about in Central and North. Except thinking about when you should attach the extension. Look at these Pigeon lake forecasted temps:

Dec 21 High-5 Low11
Dec 22 High-8 Low11
Dec 23 High-7 Low14
Dec 24 High-12 Low22
Dec 25 High-17 Low21
Dec 26 High-19 Low22
Dec 27 High-20 Low-23
Dec 28 High-20 Low-24
Dec 29 High-20 Low-21
Dec 30 High-18 Low-20
Dec 31 High-16 Low-19
Jan 1 High-16 Low-18
Jan 2 High-15 Low-18

Now that is ice making. With zero snow to impede it.

Default Sparrowhawk at Spray

Hey Guys

Curious if anyone has been to SparrowHawk yet. Dad in town until the 26th and hoping to get him out for a morning of fishing before he leaves on the 26th.

I have seen the picks of people skating on Spray but I wasn't sure exactly where that was.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Where can a guy drive on to Lac Ste Anne from? Noticed there's quite a bit of ice heaves at the launch on the Yellowstone side. Are the heaves just as bad at Albert beach and Val Quentin?

Default Upper Kananaskis Ice - ice report?

Hi. Curious if anyone has been out to Upper K lately? If so any updates on ice thickness? Hoping to head out late next week. Thanks!

Dad and I went out today and there was about a foot of ice at Sparrowhawk. Pretty good day. 6 fish landed. Biggest one of the day lost at the hole. Missed a couple others.

Worth marking the spot on the GPS.

about 12 inches of ice.

Nice day in the tent with the big buddy going.

Lots of action between 10-11am which. We only had one fish at 10am and had our limit shortly aft 11.
