Default Hurricane Harvey

Thought I may start a thread for anyone interested or affected by hurricane Harvey.

I am affected distance wise, wife and her family are evacuating from Houston to Dallas right now as it is not looking nice...

Stay safe out there Texas AO members!

Heard on the radio today that Harvey could compare to Katrina as far as flooding. Hope the people head the warnings and get out for a few days.

Worse. Comparing it to Wilma and Katrina together.

My buddy called me from McAllen Texas last night drunk as a skunk mumbling about Harvey? I thought who the **** is Harvey? Not hard to tell I don't own or watch television!
So I texted a mutual friend of ours in New Hampshire to tell him the Texican was marinated and rambling about someone named Harvey. Sure got a LOL back quick and explanation "what" not "who" Harvey is.....

That may change! Just heard on the radio that Trump just pardoned some Sheriff that had been cited for contempt for racial profiling.

You would think Trump had enough on his plate with Harvey about to hit and Kim the N Korean launching a new batch of missiles.

That would be Sheriff Joe Arpaio from Maricopa County Arizona. While not politically correct his methods did get results. Perhaps he did go a little too far, but he saw a problem and took action, despite not being the best action.

Hurricanes blow cool air...not hot. Shouldn't be hard to distinguish between the two.

It's nice that a thread an be derailed in 3 posts when the usual suspects in Trump bashing can't focus on the OP's comments.....

I don't recall ever saying I supported him...however, I am a Canadian, and fully realize that we have absolutely no room to degrade any other countries leader when you look at what we have in Ottawa. But, fill your boots, it is fun watching the Liberals heads explode....

You have to see the irony in this!

Stay safe Texas!

Cheers

Depending on which action you're referring to I suppose, its hard to argue with his housing inmates in surplus army tents and finding all kinds of cost savings surrounding their incarceration. I like the "if its good enough for the troops, its too good for them" attitude. Jail should not be looked at as an easy option to return to, it should suck within the constraints of legality.

As for the hurricane, one of my sisters lives 100 miles east of Dallas, judging by her Facebook many seem to stock up on liquor for hurricane parties .

Yea Dallas a technically in the safe zone but they will still get pummels with rain maybe this coming week (Tuesday/Wednesday). Wife said weather is nice so far and they have been driving around visiting places as if on vacation but plan to move north in a few days.
