Red face Need a 6 inch PVC cutoff...

Hi guys, figured I would toss this out there as Kijiji and Facebook marketplace is not letting me put this ad up as their algorythms think I am trying to sell something...

I am looking for a clean foot long section of 6 inch PVC pipe to make a parrot nest box. I have already looked around but it seems the min. size I can get is a 10 ft long one. I am hoping that someone out there has a cutoff that would otherwise end up in the garbage. It has to be a clean one with no glue on it as it is toxic to my birds. Would sure appreciate! as well as my little parrots! I am down in Red Deer...

Drive around in a new home construction area
There probably is a ton of pipe lying around not in a garbage bin

I can tell you there won't be any 6" at a residential construction site, unless its condo's.

It wouldn't be free, but electrical supply stores, Wesco in mind, although they had a $50 minimum, (the new manager may have changed policy) but they stock DB2 pipe, the black plastic stuff for underground. You could see if they have a long sweep 90 degree elbow or a "T" and trim it down, get a couple pieces over a foot long for sure from it being 6". Also Eecol and westburn that would probably sell it, or be able to bring in. If you know a guy at Camdon or some big construction site, they may be able to find you a chunk of it left over as well.
Hope this helps a bit.

Check the electrical wholesalers, or the lumber yards, as they might have a damaged piece that you might be able to cut and get your desired length out of.

Probably get it really cheap too.

In my experience Home Depot has 3’ lengths of abs. Not positive on 6” it might be 4” and 5” worth a look though. They usually carry it for small jobs / putting in a short length below the footing of homes for future connections
