Default Goose Shoot Fundraiser in Manitoba Oct 1-2, 2010

Hi everyone,
We host an annual goose shoot fundraiser for our Agricultural Society.
Top team prize is up to $4000 in cash.
Entry fee is $800 per team. Youth is $200
We support youth hunting and have a youth division.
We are located just north of Winnipeg, Manitoba

Instead of a Fishing Tournament,it's like a goose hunting Tournament.You should come to alberta and do one here.

we are setting one up here in alberta Next year . we are going to try to get 20 teams of 4 hunters each hunter gets 8 shells . team with the most birds wins. if there is a tie it will go to weight of birds

I shot the Lundar shoot a few times , good times

theres a hell of alot more geese thabn walleyes ...

Any ideas on what sort of radius you would have for the hunting grounds?

How it works is there are 20 fields pre scouted with good numbers of geese. the noon before each team will pick a number out of a hat that is the field you will get. then the night before your hunt the scout that in charge of that field will take you to it so you can see what you have to set up on and give you any pointers needed. after the scouting there will be a dinner and people from the area will have a chance to buy your team in a live auction. some of the money from that acution will go to the person that bought the winning team. team winners get a big prize each .
