Lets try not to get silly here please. You don't need to load a Bee hot to out do a 25-06. Doesn't make the 25-06 a bad round but lets not try to pretend they run tha same speed.

There is no point in getting all worked up about this stuff. It isn't personal it is just a matter of empirical results.

My Two 25/06's will be in next week, there golden. Ha

1 for the Nephew and the other for my long time hunting partner.

Great gifts, and frugal to shoot. They'll be alot of fun to chase the furry critters across Western Canada fore sure.

Hunting partner would most likely use his 308 when we head to Ontario, but he'll have a backup unit when we get there.

Factory cartrages = gooder times.

You can buy 257 wby ammo no need to reload. Won't find em in every store. But they are out there

I was tempted to sell my bee after witnessing the damage on a whitetail with 100gn ttsx, shot a moose this afternoon with same bullet same caliber, now i see the light again, it is a keeper.

Default 257wby

I got home last night (Monday) from the Suffield Elk Hunt ...
Took both cow elk at 300 yards with a 257WBY calibre in a custom Tikka695/R.Smith barrel and NF scope. One shot each.
Reloaded with 110 AccuBonds/RL22 it groups .333" @ 100 yards 3500fps
The bullet made a huge "wull-up" sound upon impact.
The animals insides were mush...
Not sure if the bullet exited as we were working quick to head home and will have a closer look today.
257WBY kills...
