It’s basically 832 without the gore fibre. Definitely worth the $5 (I got some myself). Nothing wrong with the line, just being discontinued by Suffix from what I understand.

I may be paranoid about it but I only use Power Pro no matter the cost. Just do not trust any other lines.

Line is not on clearance at Canadian Tire, is this at Dollarama perhaps?
Bottom line with 8X, it is fine. You can line up to 30 pd test with 10 Pd diameter.
If you are bottom bouncing, or pulling jigs through rocks, it makes all the difference with heavier line.
As for hits, the fish don't seem to care.
Best part, no line memory in cold weather. For ice fishing, it does tend to "candle" more than mono.

X2.
I haven't used anything but the Power Pro Super Slick in years, and nor will I.
I like a good deal as much as anyone, but $15 in the grand scheme of things just isn't worth it to me to risk my fishing time to dollar store clearance fishing line.
The Power Pro lasts for 2-3 years if you swap it from reel to reel and use opposite ends. With the price of everything fishing these days, quality braided line is one of the cheapest parts of fishing.
