X3 125-130" but I could be off since I don't usually judge them that small. If you like him take him, if you are after a trophy keep looking since there are plenty of 170+ bucks out there if you spend the time to find them. Good luck.

Just do what feels right to you on the day. Size is just one dimension to hunting. I've had great deer I passed on that didn't fit into what I wanted that day and I have shot what many would pass on and felt great about the result.

Last season my eldest took his first white tail. After a few days of camping in the East Kootenay, me with bow and him with rifle, we got into a nice 5 point, not too big but a good looking deer. Great early morning hike not far from camp. Nice presentation, not more than fifty yards out. He lines up, nice and steady and BOOM, he shoots the spike standing 10 yards closer. He was elated and after an initial surprise so was I. Later I asked him why he didn't take the five point and he said it didn't feel right.

Just magic.

Can't wait for Sept 1. Got two of them hunting this year!
