Default Winchester Model 94

I inherited a Winchester Model 30. I am curious to the year it was manufactured. Where does a person look to determine the year it was made.

I'm pretty sure you can go to the Winchester home page and look up your seriel number and find out when it was made. I know you can do this with the lever actions on there so hopefully you can find yours on there too

My Winchester "Dates of Manufacture" book doesn't show a Model 30 but I suspect that it may be an older model 1894 that is marked 30WCF. In that case if you can find the serial number on the underside of the receiver I should be able to give you a date.
