Default Antelope Around Elk Water, Manyberries, Orion

Is there anyone from the area that has an idea how well or poorly the Antelope made out over the winter. Giving some thought to putting in for a Trophy Antelope draw, have high enough priority to select whatever WMU we want. We have checked out up around Suffield, Brooks etc and there the Antelope didn't fare all the well. Wondering if further south was better. Thanks.

That’s where I’d be heading too...good luck on the hunt!

just draw the tag and go, every zone has some great goats in them, just need to find them. if you dont draw this year and things go South, it will be even worse for another 4-5 years. Draw the tags and get back in the que.....

The antelope population is on the upswing. We saw over 1000 between Walsh and Dunmore one day in December. That being said, my mom and brother hunted 116, 119, 124, 148 draw last year and we didn't find any huge bucks to chase. I think possibly the age structure of the bucks just wasn't there last year.

there were a few train incidents in SW Sasky and NE Montana that may affect those Southern most populations perhaps. Most North of the river didn't do bad.

Definitely saw more quality bucks down south then up around brooks, number should be pretty good, I’d draw this year if I had enough points, if you ever need an extra pair of eyes down there let me know, I love scouting for lopers

I hunt the top half of 118 every year for Mulies and Whitetail. I see very few goats until I head right to the Sask border or travel down into the bottom half of the WMU.
