7mmx300WBY 150 Barnes TTSX ELK/Moose very effective. I don’t use it for deer however I prefer my 6.5x55

7mmstw, I use the 150gr TTSX for all big game. I used the 140gr TTSX in most of my 7mm rifles, but this one shoots the 150gr a little more accurately.

I’ve been running 160 partitions and Accubonds for the last 15 years. Zero complaints, I like the extra weight for moose/elk.
They’re pretty tough to find lately though. A 150 grain TSX/TTSX would probably work pretty good too…..

I also use the 150 gr TTSX in my 7mm RM. It just works for everything. I haven't used it for a few years, pretty much just grab the 7mm08 or .338 Fed now, but I would be confident hunting pretty much anything in AB with it.

I use 140 gr Partitions in my 7-08. It has been great on both deer and moose.

Barnes TTSX 140 gr

Sako 85

Find the lower grain keeps the velocity up and better expansion

Up until the late 1990s I ran 160 Gr corlock and Nosler partitions, when I switched over to copper monolithic in the mid/late 1990s I tried 160 Gr TSX but had two or three not open - believe they were not getting traveling fast enough for reliable expansion.

140s open reliably even at large distance

Sold my 7mm RM years ago but I was shooting 160 partitions back then, worked just fine.
Just started load development for my 7mm PRC with 175 ELDX shows promise

150gr Swift Scirroco's in my 7mm Wby mag for everything. I have been using this combo for the last 25 years and have no reason to switch. One rifle, one bullet, no guessing.

120 TTSX over RL15 in my 7-08 (with a custom CDS dial from Korth)

160 Accubonds over IMR4851 for the 7mm Mag.

Both group well under an inch.

I usually load something in the 139-140 grain range in the 280, mostly CX bullets these days The rifle shoots danged near anything well, so I a not too particular with it. Last Fall I had it loaded with SST's , hunting in a particular area- never got a chance to shoot anything with it though.
My brother used it for years loaded with 162 Interlocks, he shot a pile f moose and deer with it.

160 grain Nosler Partitions for everything. I try to keep the setup consistent since my practice schedule isn't.

Tikka M65 - 7RM: 140 TTSX at 3330 fps
Sako A7 - 7/08: 120 TTSX at 3090 fps

Both have been effective for me on several animals. I typically have been a shoulder shooter with these, but I'm vowing to go back to the boiler room next year. Always had it in my head that the mono's need to impact bone to be effective, but I've read a lot that tells me that's not the case. I hope it's true because I don't like losing the shoulder, but it sure is effective and makes for a short tracking job.
