I'd like the license number. I think I know who it might be. Want to see if the numbers you have match the numbers I have.

We had that happen a couple days last year. Had a blue and white plane flying real slow, almost at stall speed, over all the bush. Was definitely looking for something?

I've heard of ranchers doing aerial searches for livestock. Let's not get the anti-aircraft guns yet.

I actually seen both planes, a red and white and a blue and white. Where I was , the plane covered the ground of about 8 different land owners so they weren't looking for cattle.

I take it that those who observed these planes are concrned that the aircraft was being used to spot/hunt wildlife....

Did anyone take some video? Call F&W, RAP?

We all know F&W enforecement staff are severly understaffed. Let's help them out.

As long as they are not conveying any information from the plane to hunters on the ground,,,, or they do not do not do any hunting themselves within 6 hours of disembarking the plane,,, then no game laws have been broken.

That said, there may be some aviation laws regarding minimum flight elevations that could come into effect.

The optics of spotting by plane do not look good,,, but when you think of it, spotting by aircraft is somewhat similar to using trail cams,,, that is the "user" is trying to see what's really out there.

It's a lot different. It gives you the exact whereabouts of an animal right NOW, not just a glimpse as it's passing by...
Wish I had a trail cam that'd do that for me!

Unless you have a trail cam that emails you the photos instantly.

X2

Flying is a real time where are they....cams are an idea of where they are at certain times....depends when you check the camera. The 2 are in different leagues of surveillance.

Realtime aerial video with GPS positioning, 5km range. We are using these for inexpensive aerial data collection....

Hmmm, maybe someone help the Wildlife Act catch up with technology.

Seems to be a ton of concerned people with these planes, but so far I havent heard of anyone stepping up and reporting it to F&W.

I actually like to not have to rely on technology for my hunts I don't have the coin to put out hundreds of dollars sitting on a tree for some but-head to steal. If I did I would just hire a plane. ..

Didn't say you needed one...just that you should be up to date and have knowledge about what's out there....if you are going to talk about them

I know they exist I have blocked them from my mind.....or I WILL get one

I still personally think a cam (real time or not) and a plane are in 2 different leagues....but thats my opinion....cam is stationary, plane.....NOT
