Default 2 Bucks 10 sec. apart

On Nov.4,opening day in Zone 140 my 2 youngest boys and I were out looking for their mulie bucks. We were glassing the dryland and spotted these 2 whitetail bucks walking across the prairie. We drove around to get in front of them & started walking down the fence line.We got within 250 yards of them & they didn't know we were there.I told the 2nd oldest boy that when they reach the fence he'll stop before jumping it so be ready for a shot.I then told the youngest boy to be ready because when he shoots the 1st buck the 2nd one will run a short distance and then stop and look back at his buddy. When the 1st buck reached the fence my boy dropped him in one shot with a 300 mag.The second buck took off and ran about 30 yards closer to us and stopped. My youngest boy took a shot at him with the 270 and missed. He ran right at us after the shot and the stopped about 150 yards away.He shot again and dropped him in his tracks.I couldn't believe are luck.2 beautiful southern whitetails down in 10 sec.It was my 2nd oldest boys 5th deer & 2nd whitetail buck.My youngest boy had never shot a buck before so this was his 1st.Later that day he shot a decent mulie buck for his 2nd buck & 3rd deer ever.I don't think I could be any prouder of my 2 boys.We had great year with all 3 of my boys getting their whitetail bucks and me getting my whitetail buck with my daughter along.Just wish I would have had the camera with me a little more this year.FH

Awesome, my boy has been joining me and his grandpa since he was 4. He turns 12 in june. This season he will be our official chicken(grouse)hunter, then we need to get him a youth rifle and start him shooting big guns. I am so looking forward to what you are allready enjoying.

Congrats to you and your boys!! I had my boys out this year, but it was my first season. I'm more exited for them getting started next season than I was getting my first deer this season.
