I was one of many in 1977 fighting a fire in northern SK. Started out as three fires then all joined. 177,000 acres by the time it was done. Thankfully it was in an area where there were few structures. Those fires get so out of control, they are indeed hell on earth. The fact that these new fires are in populated areas is a very, very sad thing.
