Default eye glasses

I wonder if anyone has found any eye glasses that are not scratched up after a year. I tried the expensive nikon lenses but they scratched easily so I tried lense crafters and they lasted about a year. It would seem to me for the money you pay they could develop glasses that don't scratch up easily. Goggle has all kinds of complaints of people having problems with scratched lenses. One guy even claims you can use sun screen to wash the coating off of the glasses. I never had problems when we used glass lenses years ago but glass is heavy.

Did you try talking to the board sponsor who happens to be an optometrist?

I order them online, so cheap that a year per pair doesn't matter.

I hve stopped wiping my glasses with anything other than clean finger tips and dishsoap under the tap using warm to just under hot water. Rinse with water first, then use dishsoap that I rub into my hands and wipe my lenses down, rinse again and repeat one more time. After that I tap the bottom and top of the frames gently on a tea towel on the counter to knock a bit of the water off then I blow the remainder off just like you are blowing out a candle.

Been doing this for a couple decades now and I have never had to replace my lenses for any other reason then I want a new style of frames. Just bought a new set last month and my old lenses were 4 years old and my optometrist was amazed that the lenses still looked virtually new.

Never wipe you lenses and they will not scratch...

Same method
Plus I wear my glasses in the pool when I swim, wear them when I shower even when I sleep
No issues
My current script is 7 yrs old I get my eyes checked regularly still no changes
The docs are impressed with the condition of this pair of glasses

Bingo

Also likely your lenses cams with a warrantee. Shops in town over charge and hope you don't bring them back. Most have two year scratch warrantee.

My last pair I bough with thin lense and scratch coating. 5 years later still looking good although I am due for another pair. I bought them online for 1/4 cost of store bought.

x4. Best advice you will ever get. Even specialised cleaning cloths scratch because the dirt is moved over the lenses.
