Honeybee populations across Canada are at record levels and honeybee populations are not declining, said Hoover.

Funny, others would have us believe bees are headed for extinction. Damn those Neonicotinoids .

And to think my kids grade 5 teacher just told him that global warming was killing all of my bees. I really hate having to tell my kids that their teacher has no clue.

There have been many problems over the last decade or two but global warming would be absolutely great here. With the mild winter we had this year I have never seen bees so strong so early. Had to add extra boxes to some hives today because they are getting full of willow honey and asked my dad if he ever had to add boxes in April, he never has and that goes back to the 60's. So please throw another tire on the fire and enjoy the nice winters.

What does this have to do with Global Warming? It's a strange connection to make.

Bee populations never were declining. It's nice to see a knowledgeable opinion (Dr. Hoover) being published for a change, instead of fearmongering from failed hobbyists looking to get their name in print.

Strange thing is we had one of the easiest winters ever but we also had our bigest loss of hives ever. The bees did not die in the hives. Everything was fine up until late Nov. Then they just left never to return.
