Matches, your best concoction is going to be a mixture of Glyphosate( Roundup) and Par III or 24-D ester, if you can get your hands on these items as they are agricultural products, not from the retail stores. Roundup won't kill the big broadleaf weeds, 6-8" dandelions this time of year but will kill the grasses and the Par III will kill the big broadleaf weeds. ie. dandelions and thistle. At this time of year Roundup will only burn the tops off big broad leaf weeds(dandelions, thistle) but not kill them.
