Default Draw Question - For an 11 Year old

So I have an 11 year old son. He'll be 12 by hunting season but hasn't finished his hunters safety yet so can't hunt. But as he as a WIN, can we put in for Priority only to get a start in the draw system?

I've not actually tried it yet to see if it would take, thought I'd see what the general take on this was first.

Thx

You need to put in their hunter safety certificate number at the bottom of the first page when you log them in to Alberta Relm. So the short answer is he needs to have the course done to enter.

Thanks, I know you can do the walley draws without it, hence me wondering. No worries, get him finished up and in the draw system next year.

I entered in my brother for draws with his WIN #. Same situation started hunters safety but not complete. As part of the group there was no indication it would not be accepted. Also, The wording for being eligible to enter draws is atrocious.

I entered my daughter a few years ago before she had her hunter safety and no problem. She completed it before season started and bought tags.
Hope this helps
Cheers

if he can finish the hunters training course before late afternoon Thursday you can call AHEIA and they will give you your hunter ID number so you can get in on the draws.
