Default RL19 and the .3006

Gonna start playing with RL19 in my .3006 just due to my struggle finding IMR4350 anymore (my favourite .3006 powder). I have a surplus of Speer 180 BTSP and Sierra Prohunter 180 Spitzer. I’ve been researching and appears best performance comes at or near max published loadings. Primers will be F210M and Winchester standard LR, while brass will be WW and Federal in the tests, so lots of combinations to try.
Anyone have any experience to pass along?

I would scrap the rl19 and switch to rl16 it’s newer and has more temperature stability you’ll like both over the ancient imr4350, Stick to the match primers forget the other ones. Other than that I dont have anything else for you to try I dont know your budget or if you plan on buying better components like lapua brass or how your rifle shoots.

Alliant powders are so bloody hit and miss for availability over the years that I’ve personally steered clear of them.

Can’t get IMR 4350, there’s a host of other powders that fill that niche.
Stuff like Hybrid 100, 4451, 760/414, even H4350.

Rem 700 - 30-06, remington 9-1/2 LR primer 61.2 gr RL22 behind a 180 nosler accubond, 2796 FPS and very accurate, been loading this load for years then sold the gun to a buddy of mine and still load that load for him.

Well for now the RL19 is gonna be pushed to the back of the powder bin. A very kind AO member sent me a PM that he had a couple pounds of IMR4350 in surplus, so I am back to my tried and true load.
Thanks to all.

FIL swears by H4350 for his 06. Not many people I know have killed more elk or deer then he has. I’m sure there’s better powders out there but I’m old school, if it’s not broke don’t fix it. Glad you were able to get some powder!
