Default Comet C/2020 F3 Neowise

Just a heads up everyone.

The brightest comet since Hale Bopp in 1997 is currently visible in the evening sky. (Although a lot dimmer than Hale Bopp).

I'm looking at it right now, it's below the big dipper, about 1/3rd the way from horizon to the dipper. I was able to pick it out naked eye at about 11:10 p.m., but later is better. Easily visible naked eye, but awesome in binoculars!

It will be best over the next week and will get dimmer after that.

I’m under clear, dark skies west of RMH at the moment and it’s absolutely spectacular. Naturally, I’ve neglected to bring along my proper camera kit....gonna be some awesome pics taken though.

Is it headed for Bethlehem? Think we're all ready for that, we need a Savior.

I was on an over night ice fishing trip to Slave back when Hale Bop went across the sky. Got video of it. I need to go see this one too.

Im really hoping for a clear night sky so I can see it. Weather forecasts aren’t to good though.

It wasn't very bright for me, but I was still able to see it from NE Calgary, even with all the light pollution from the city.

Went out to see it just last night, around midnight. Easily visible with the naked eye, but binos do make it brighter and better. Spotting scope brought it even closer. Best I've ever seen (I missed Hale Bopp somehow!)

Won't be back again for another 6700 years or so, so now's your only chance to see it! Last time it was in Earth's skies, it was in the Neolithic Age (mankind was well into the process of switching from hunting/gathering to an agricultural model.)

Very cool.
