Default Need advice on a real good recoil pad

I have a 20 guage that I got for my son to shoot. Well it turns out It shoots trap like a dam. It has the solid plastic recoil pad on it. Can anyone suggest a good recoil pad to take the blow . Any input would be great.

Thanks

The Limbsaver pads are the best I've seen or used.

Simms Limbsaver, ask your gunsmith. What model is the 20 gauge?

Either the Sims Limbsaver or the Pachmayr Decellerator would be good to go with.

Default limbsaver

Another vote for Limbsaver.

Sounds like he's a chip off the old block.

my factory wby has a pacmeyer decelator, but the limbsaver looks/feels like it would be happy, either way they are both higher-end than a peice of plastic
i wonder how they all perform in late november minus's...
if your considering recoil reduction, get a sissy pad, they are great after a big day. also leave the pad as large as possible, dont shave it down to fit, it might look fugly, but its all about surface area.
try this...it might cost a little more but if it saves a flinch....

I've got Limbsaver pads on several rifles and they work just as well at -40 as +40.

i got to thinking AFTER i posted...more clothes in the winter combined with adrenaline of the hunt.. a fella could have broken glass glued to rusty barbed wire wrapped around the buttplate, but at that point...''Im already motivated'' to get it!!

Abdukhunt,

It a Browning Bps 20 guage pump.

Rugatika,

Yah, he loves to hunt. A couple of more years and he'll be along for every hunt I'm sure. Only thing is his lil bro will wanting to come along as well.

Thanks guys for all the replies. Where in Edmonton can I pick those pads up at?

You should be able to find a Pachmyr or Simms that screw right onto the end of your Browning, no gunsmithing needed. Expect to pay $30 or $40 but well worth it.

Try P&D, Wholesale Sports. Not sure if Milarm carries them. Lock and Load may be another possibility.

The limbsaver and decellerator are both fine choices.
