Default Smoky smell in the house?

With all the smoke in the air it may be getting into your home. A way to cleanse the air in the home is to simmer a few cloves and a cinnamon stick or two in water on the stove. Both have properties known to improve air quality and improve respiratory function.

Or use the essential oils and put them in a diffuser.

Essential oils mainly clove, cinnamon, lavender, citrus, sandalwood, peppermint, rosemary have anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-viral properties. Whenever these oils are diffused into the air they come in contact with viruses, antigens, dust particles, smoke and kill the live cells and settle non-living matter on the floor. This way, essential oils helps purify air.

Lots of various recipes for the essential oils online .

Just take it easy if kitty stays in the house. Many essential oils are harmful to cats.

Horse Poop. Just another scent to cover the smoke smell, which isn't all bad.

Meh... this is Karma. Too many years of people demanding a smoke free environment.

Make Lemonade.

Get out the rum and cigars, re-enforce the coffee tables and invite over some Cuban dancers.

And maybe some of those oils will come in handy.

Ahhh… the good old days are back.

FYI smoke is around 1 micron in size. You will need to use a very efficient filter in order to make that effective. Merv 15 or better.

Here's a chart to go by:

Too funny. I actually learned about the essential oils recently. I have been a smoker for many years and smoke doesn't bother me. I do have family that is suffering because of the smoke and I try to be proactive in helping them.
Those that want to disregard alternatives can carry on suffering and smelling the smoke.

Thanks for the tip!
My large hepa air purifier just pulled its own plug after two years. I clean the filter around every two weeks because we have allergies in our home. I pulled the filter last night because I noticed an electrical smell coming from it. The filter looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months.

Default smoke

Guys, I ordered some Activated Carbon filters from Amazon made by Filtrete.
Just place them in your furnace and turn on to continous circulation. It will absorb all the smoke odour during the 10+ smoke days. Works like a dam!

Smoke is still there, just covered up with other things you now have to breath in. To remove the smoke get a decent air filtration system, it’ll remove the other stuff your putting in the air too. All it takes is money lol
