Check with your municipality bylaw officer or check their website. My guess is no higher than 6'

I used to do fences for Jayman and Avi in Edmonton, most neighbourhoods are 6' in the back unless it backs onto a pond then it is 4' black chainlink. Sometimes design (inc post size) and colour is spec'd in architectural controls.
How many feet of fence are you looking for?

Put in a pool first. Then you have to have a very high fence.

I built my fence a little over height, it only becomes an issue when someone complains about it, 7 years and no issues yet, and I've even had numerous city inspectors by during the house build.... Mine could be converted by removing the lower 'T' supports & lowering the panels if it ever came to that, but I doubt it will. Heck, my posts are 8" higher than the fence and I plan on doing a lattice between them. Right now its about 7" over height due to the 'T' support at the bottom under the fence panels that I made. The 'T' consists of a 2x4 screwed to a 2x6 on edge.

EDMONTON - Police are investigating a sudden death in north Edmonton.

Edmonton Police Service spokesman Chad Orydzuk said in a release that the 25-year-old man was found dead inside a garage in the area of 132 Avenue and 94 Street at about 11:15 a.m. on Sunday.

Orydzuk said it is “unclear at this time how the adult male died,” so the death is being treated as suspicious.

An autopsy has been scheduled for this afternoon.
