Default Rodger's cell phone

How is the service in Alberta, Sask & Manitoba? Only trying to find out for phone not internet or anything else. Thanks Ed

I drove from Provost to Saskatoon and had about 5 mins of coverage on Rogers.....go with Bell or Telus.

Rogers coverage is almost as bad as their customer service.

Take a look at Koodo for a basic talk and text phone.

Rogers is absolutely abysmal in SK. Telus is much, much better.

I had Bell last year and as soon as I hit Lloydminster thru to Manitoba border, I had O service. Alberta & Manitoba worked great. I spend from mid may till mid nov in Manitoba & Sask driving water truck on road construction, so I need a phone that will work right across the prairie's.

That's really odd. I go back to SK quite often, North Battleford, Moose Jaw, Swift Current and the family farm which is 25 miles NE of SC and have never been without a signal. All along the YH, Trans Canada, #4 highway and country roads always good to go. ?????

I have bell and worked great all through northern sask last fall, and yes east of Lloyd was good too.
Wife had Rogers in nfld, it sucks, 5 min out of st.johns no service.

Reading the replies, I'm wondering if my phone could be the problem with bell service. I'm using a 10+ year old Motorola flip phone. Should I maybe looking at getting a new phone so I might be getting a stronger signal?

That's a big 10-4 your phone won't be equipped to to utilize the full signal

I've been with all 3 and they definitely have the best customer service IMO, just don't have the coverage. Currently with Bell and have coverage but their customer service is extremely poor. So much so that I will not be renewing with them when my current contract is finished. Telus I found to be an in between of the two, not the greatest customer service but not the worst and still has good coverage.

I never had any reason to call customer service. I did call technical services a couple of times to ask about lack of service in Sask and they told me there was no reason I couldn't get service there.

Lousy customer service, but Telus is just as bad.
As for coverage with Rogers.......try a string and two cans.....just as useful.

Rogers coverage is terrible in Saskatchewan.

Telus is a bit better.

Bell seems to work everywhere. Even in the middle of some northern lakes!

I'm on Bell and when travelling in Sask, from one side of the province to the other, everytime I try to make a call, a recorded message comes on and says that" this call cannot be completed as dialed". EVERYTIME. I was thinking it was because of a poor signal, it must be something else, a phone issue possibly. I most certainly know how to use a phone. LOL.

When you want customer service from Rogers, you are talking to someone who you can clearly understand and have a conversation without dealing with accents. You are talking to a friendly person in Canada. Yes, Quebec is still par of Canada.
They have always been friendly and courteous.
Very helpfull.
I took over the number from an old employer, so my number has been in existence for probably 18 years. Maybe they see this and give me the best service tech they can.

Coverage has gotten way better in the past 3 years.
At this point there is no reason for me to switch.

The glitches I have with telus on my other stuff is enough to make me not give them any more of my money.
Going through their "press one for...." Drives me mental.
Then you find out that department is closed.
Almost as irritating as calling the MEP line..... Totally different topic.

My work iPhone 5 on the Rogers Network has a signal strength of 2 sitting in my house. At the same time my personal iPhone 4S on Telus has a signal strength of 5.

A phone is only good if you can connect to wifi or get a cell signal. If you want a phone to work in BC, Rogers is abysmal. Its an overpriced paperweight. The best customer service in the world is meaningless if the hardware doesn't work

your phone may be on a network that isnt well supported anymore (cdma network signal is going out the door) if it is 10 years old, time to upgrade to a new phone, even a new flip phone will be able to use the 4G/LTE signals, anything old cant access those and in some cases your phone just wont work

You very well could be right, but my phone works perfectly in Alberta and Manitoba, but not in Sask. You see what I'm getting at?
