Are they still going forward with their plan to reduce the amount of wild fur as much as possible? Are they still going forward with their plan to just keep recycling fur instead of buying our fur?

If a coyote dies and its fur is now used for a coat and not him... technically isnt that recycling?

As far as I know they still plan on only using recycled fur starting in 2022.

I don’t think that they’ll be able to find enough recycled fur to put on all the jackets that they make but who knows?

I agree. Going to be pretty tough to supply their growing Chinese market with recycled fur. Wherever this recycled fur comes from I hope it runs dry, but the recycled fur would still look better than any of that ratty looking faux crap.

Exactly. I think we all agree the best form of environmental recycling around.

From the article.

“Canada Goose launched its new Standard Expedition Parka last month, what it calls the "most sustainable parka to date" made from recycled and undyed fabrics, responsibly sourced down and reclaimed fur.”

Always thought recycled fur would resemble a rubbed or manged coyote. Wish them luck charging over $1000 for a parka with that mangy look.

The recycled parkas are 700 more than the same parka made with new material.

I think they are silently going to go back to "new" fur in a little while. Charging that much more for a recycled fur jacket when the down inside is still new wont win over too many people. Peta is still up in arms against the recycled jackets.
