Great video. Congrats on the wolf.
Did you figure out what was causing the limp?

I have followed your posts on FB. You earned that Big Dog with all the time you put in. Great Vid, Man i bet the slow times can be boring but you don't want to close your eyes as they seem to slip in and out pretty quick.
Cheers

Good wolf set up and video. Limp probably caused by bad encounter with a moose, probably why he was by himself, could not keep up with the pack.
Just a suggestion F & W use to drill hole in ice and put leg of bait quarter to freeze in place. Wolves or wolverine can then not run off with meat.

Thank Big Grey, my intention was to drill hole and anchor bait in but I didn’t want to drag the ice auger all the way out there. I actually made some big bait popsicles with 5 gallon pails and legs and wanted to freeze them in but just ran out of energy lol.

He had a small wound on his leg from either fighting with other wolves or possiblyfrom being stabbed with an antler.

Injuries in wolves are quite common, goes with their life style.

Some Uneducated folks hear the word “baiting” and think it’s easy. I have no idea what your story is or how hard you worked but I’m guessing you guys put in a ton of time. Very good video. Too bad about the flap of the tent. Impossible to plan for! But that’s OK. Congrats!!!

Thank you very much! It is allot of work, I have tried a couple baits over the years and this has been my first success. Long drives and lots of work for sure.

Nice job great video ,I own a quarter section up by Grand Prairie thinking next year I'll be doing some bating on my land as I'm building a couple elevated permanent stands for hunting did you have to get permits for your deer carcasses.

I was using my 300rum. Heavy jacket didn’t do much expanding so only left a quarter sized exit wound.

AMEN to the above.

CONGRATS on a fine wolf. Must be very rewarding to have all the effort you put forth to pay off. THANKS for taking the time to video and share.

Well I’ve had zero luck and minimal time this year. Glad you were able to capitalize through the crap weather!
