you could draft up a letter saying you have the intent to sue them for damages, see if that changes anything

Thanks for the replies.
I have had my share of beers with this neighbor, our relationship is good. They do not view the peeing as an issue. My property is also an acreage so fencing is not really a feasible option.

Having an opinions one thing, OTT belittling the OP is against forum rules-maybe you should apologize to zims23.

You're on an acreage? Back home, farm dogs that roamed and caused trouble got the Luca Brasi treatment.

As I said before then, single wire electric fence will be cheapest and easiest. Just have to get zapped on the nose once and that should be it. Dogs don't like fencers

I have a can of Buck Bomb

You can have it

Spray it here and there as you take a walk off your property

Doggie will pizz himself dry long before he gets to your place. Give him another option as to where to pee

I did that here in town. It worked. No more loose dog relieving himself on my place. The buck bomb sent him.down the path and onto the powerline right of way....

I tried wolf urine previous but my yorkie wouldnt go out into the yard....i think i could have trained him to use the toilet during that experiment but i didnt think of it....

Problem solving is fun.

I propose a two phase solution.

Firstly... Put a dog repelling sound broadcasting from the home 24/7.

https://www.amazon.com/Dog-Dazer-II-.../dp/B000IBRI2Y

Just an example.

Secondly...

Place strategically located fire hydrants for the dog to pee on a short distance from the home. Better to pee 10 feet from the home than on the home.

https://www.petsmart.ca/dog/training...ml?cgid=100412

Just an example. Any fake fire hydrant would do.

Simple and effective

A third approach would be the sprinkler on a motion sensor.

https://www.amazon.ca/Orbit-62100-Ac...66648157&psc=1

The third could help deter other animals as well. Skunks, raccoons, grizzly bears.

So there you have it. The one, two and three punch Sun neighbourhood dog problem fixer upper.

Plus as a bonus..get a motion camera, 12 pack beer and replay the fun when the games over.

Seems like lots of money and effort for someone else's mut.
Pee in a bottle for a month and let it get rank and dump it by there sidewalk.
Had a neighbor who like to drain the black tank of their RV by my approach....I used a 5 gallon pail for a week and returned the favor.
They got the hint.
