Default Nordegg area lakes - moderate hike

Hi folks,
I am planning to be in the Nordegg area for a mini vacation in a few weeks. I’ve fished many of the rivers in the are over the years but never much for the lakes. I was wondering if anyone could suggest an easy to moderate hike that we could do with our 8-year-old daughter that would take us to a lake we could fish in. I’ve read about some of the popular ones like Landslide and Allstones, but feel like these may have a bit to much elevation gain/length for an 8 year old. That said, I know the prospect of fishing at the end will certainly be a motivator for her. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Hip

I’ve had luck at Goldeye Lake out there before. Lots of rainbows in there.
