Default Partner licence success.

My 13 year old son was a youth partner of a good friend this year. We had three days to hunt and hiked several miles covering a bunch of country. On day three after passing on several bucks he decided to pull the trigger. We all had a blast. Here he is with the partner.

Nice buck, and fun country to hunt! Good job, and congrats to your son.

Nice to see, beauty country to go for a stroll and carry a rifle.

Good job to your Son, and good for you to the Partner.

That's a lifetime story for a young fella like that and the older fella knows it.

Good job, the partner licenses are a great resource, especially for young hunters.

Congrats!!
Not to derail and certainly not to be one of 'those guys' that finds fault with every time a guy posted a pic; however, when I pack out antlers, I like to have them upside down. I've always thought that if some idiot were to see me just as I were coming over a ridge and saw the antlers first, he/she might aim just below...
Maybe I'm being overly paranoid? Thoughts?
Again, apologies if I sound like I'm being critical or for a derail Chuck.

Overly paranoid.

And most people don't realize they've packed the antlers down in a manner that will stab them well if they fall. And falling is far more likely to happen then some futz mistaking antlers growing out of a back pack for a mule deer.

Still great pics Chuck.

Thanks for the comments.

Yes, horn placement on the pack is a consideration, but you have to be some stupid to think that’s a deer. Especially given the terrain.

Truly a case of each photo being worth a thousand words, each says so much.

It speaks to your sons maturity, so early in his hunting life, to pass on several bucks in that limited time frame. Good on him and his mentors.

And I can't believe he's already 13 years old!
