Default Tahr Hunt

Last week I did a solo spring tahr hunt. 6 hrs walk up a valley to find the bulls, but it was worth it! Heres a few iPhone photos. The last photo shows the tahr capes cooling down at camp.

I'll start hunting stags early next year when their antlers are hard. Next big hunt will probably be another tahr / chamois hunt late December. But just got back from an unsuccessful meat hunt.

Thanks for showing a type of hunt most here will never get a chance at. The ruff is so glorious, what do you do with it? Rugs? Mount them? A fashionable poncho for your lover?

Rugs and mounts for the bulls, and meat too. They would make a hell of a poncho but I doubt the wife would wear it haha

Ever try the wallaby hunts? They must be a tasty morsel too.

No, never hunted wallaby. I think they live mostly on private land which I don't have access to.
