Default Central Alberta Fishing

Hey fellas,

I'm going to school in Edmonton and have about a 5 day gap in between my exams in late April. I want to head down with possibly a buddy or two and fish the Red Deer river and some of its tributaries. I have spent a fair amount of time fly fishing southern Alberta as I am from Lethbridge, but I'm a complete rookie to this Central Alberta stuff. I'm not looking for anyone's honey holes but maybe some generic spots where people tend to access water systems and any other info would be much appreciated. If you would rather Pm me please do so and maybe I can share some info about spots further south.

Cheers,
Brendon

Check out Raven and Stauffer for a serious departure from the freestones in the SW.
