i would say around the 10 year mark. Was this a cadomin ram? You dont have to hunt sheep anymore, not many out there nicer than that.

i watched a episode of best of the west and john porter was aging the one ram.How he did it was started with the lamb tip that was 1.5 years and evrey annuli after that .

I guess that we should Not allow Ram hunting in AB by age....


For the guys and gals that have a ram handy, please post up a profile AND a picture from the back and bottom of the horns. This will let us learn the difference between true and false annuli.

Okay; my ram was aged by F&W at 11.5, but I have had guys better than me tell me they figure 10.5; I agree personally with 11.5; hard to know as he has broomed off so much horn.
I do still hunt sheep, but I will probably never shoot another one; besides this one I have a real nice one I took with a bow which is to me the holy grail of sheep hunting!
