Default Quick shot of hunting camp so far

Been having lots of good times so far, here's a little teaser of what's been happening so far.

I've still got a week to go and a few tags to fill. When I've got more time and better reception I'll elaborate more more.

Hope everyone is having a great season so far!

I was 11 minutes away from killing the biggest buck I've ever seen in my life, and I've been guiding for nearly 20yrs and seen a few good bucks. I've got my freezer full with my moose from earlier this season and the elk and deer my Dad and son got, I won't shoot a deer unless it's the swamp monster I let walk because of legal light. If I get this guy he will break 200 with ease.

It's been 5 or 6 years since I've killed a whitetail, it'd be nice to finally break the slump!

Had him at 60yds chasing a doe this morning! I watched them cross a creek about 1/4 mile off the road so I followed the creek down about 200yds hoping they'd cross again but instead they came right for me... too close and got my wind. I had the doe in my crosshairs for about 5min, stomping her feet, the dang buck held up about 10yds behind her but she was still making her way towards me cautiously. Then a truck came creeping down the road and freaked them out so close!!!

I'm going back in there this afternoon, I got my fingers crossed.

Ok Kurt, enough of the "maybe" deer. How about some more pics of that freak moose? That's a gagger. Congrats on a great season.
