Default Shed Hunting

Was just wondering if anyone has been out busting the snow banks looking for any bone lately. A farmer from my neck of the woods was in yesterday with a matching set. Nothing huge but it has great potential. If only I had a grain bin to leave open so the beasts wood knock both off in. Lucky man.

Anyways,if you have found some matching sets or just some bone let's see some pictures.

This was a cool shed i found last summer by Red Deer.

I put a normal kind of antler and bill by it for size comparison, funniest deer antler i've found. Its a whitetail by the way, took me a second when i found it. I'm looking for my non-typical moose shed pics, may add later on.

I would guess that to be a elk antler why do you think its a whitetail?

I would think elk as well. I saw a nice bull 2 years ago right close to Blackfalds. He had a dozen cows with him as well.

Where those elk behind a 6 foot fence? Several elk farms around Blackfalds.

No they were not. Half the herd had ear tags and were tame but the others trotted off after a few minutes of me watching them. They were eating a swathed barley field.

Well it's been some time since i've been to the board, it still seems to be a great place to chat and get info. Couldn't resist the urge to post a few pic's of the sheds that i've picked this year. Up to 20 so far, don't have pic's of all but will post when I get the rest. Heading out again this weekend so hopefully will have a bunch of new pics.

If you mean my shed i guarantee its a whitetail antler. You have to view it in profile. I have seen a few wacky alive ones in the same piece of bush. It would have been a huge buck though.

Nice find there!

We were out this weekend. NO sheds. Saw a mule buck supporting both sides. May have to wait awhile yet.
