Default Spotting Scopes

Well I am in the markwt for a new spotting scope and have decided on either a Zeiss or Swarovski. My biggest question is do I stick with a scope in the 15-45 power or do I get a 20-60. What is everyone else using?? Also can anyone recommend a place to pick one up online?? I can save a few hundred by ordering from Cabelas and that may be my best bet. Any info would be appreciated.

If you are ordering from the u.s. Try a place called to Optic zone. I buy all my stuff there and can not find a better deal anywhere. I just got a zeiss 4.5-14x50mm for $589 U.S. I would get the scope that would go up to 60 power zoom which I beleive the Zeiss doesn't do and only the SWaro.

I think that the 20-60X is a better choice. It is available with the swarovski in either the 60mm or 80mm versions. If you want the 20-60X for the Zeiss then you must get the 80mm scope the same eyepiece for the 65mm scope only provides 15-45X. I personally prefer the 80mm , although bigger I feel it is better for glassing and it lets my eyes do the walking before my legs.
As for the best deal, try Ebay.

Default Spotting Scopes..

SakoMan..It all depends on what you want to use it for.

Are you going to use one SS for all your hunts because if you are then i would recomend the 12-40-60 Leupold.

This SS is light and very rugged and will work for all situation's whether you are spotting for Mule deer and antelope or if you are backpacking in for sheep.

If size don't matter and you want a High quality SS go with the Swarovski 20x60-80HD.The Clarity of this SS is unreal. The High Def Glass will cost you an extra 500 but it is well worth it.

Hope this helps.
