Good thing bass pro isn’t the only store you can buy that from. It’s a big internet, use some Google fu and buy one.

I've heard rumblings that a lot of sonar and fishing stuff might get hard to come by and/or more expensive in the very near future due to the coronavirus shutting down factories in China and Malaysia.

The rail blockades aren't helping either...

I think my buddy bought the last one at Bass on Monday. Purchased one 15ft. long for his boat. they do come quite a bit shorter but his need was for a long one. It was $100 I would think anyone selling fish finders and the motor guide should have them in stock.

I hate to say it but a lot of people don’t investigate how all these units need to work together and what kit it takes to do so. Even after researching and buying the right kit, it still took a lot of work to make it work together. This goes for motorguide/ lowrance vs minkotta/ hummingbird. Research and research more

Lowrance came out with their own trolling motor last year (the Ghost) so I think their investment in manufacturing connections for motorguide products is likely fading a bit as they focus on their own more. That may be why you are having a tougher time finding the cables. Combine that with it being boat show season while dealers are getting their rigs ready to sell and stuff can be tougher to find. Radioworld is another option for you if TFH, BPS, and Cabelas don’t have what you are looking for.

Excellent. Good to hear.

The connection between the two units is really nice. I can't say as it drastically changed or improved my fishing all that much, but that's my fault. I'm too "old school" in my ways and I want to be in control, not passively having the computer steering me, and quite frankly, I haven't put in the time to really test it and learn to use it.

There are two things the Gateway connect gives you that are must haves for me though -

1. Go to waypoint/spotlock. Love it and would hate to be without it.
2. Having the speed and motor power percentage displayed on the sonar unit.

Lowrance and Motorguide announced a multi-year partnership last year. They are committed to supporting each others products for the long term, so I don't think that's a factor at all.

Good point about the high demand at this time of year though, especially in the USA.
