I fished the RDR last Friday near the dam. It was high and dirty.

The whites, however, were more than willing. My friend and I caught 40+ in 4 hours. As you probably know, whites tend to school. Where you catch one, you will probably catch a few more. Most of the fish were quite small---indicative of a recovering populations.

One small brown was also willing. Caught him on the SJW.

I have never caught a Goldeye upstream of the Innisfail bridge.

I don't know what the plan is with the dam control folks but the report of high and dirty was correct last friday. Today however it is low and cleaning nicely.

Browns are being themselves carefully sipping the odd grey or black caddis. Some will smash a hopper further down stream in cow country.

Goldeyes are right up to the dam hitting anything that remotely resembles a fly and generally being a pain.

I don't fish sub-surface so can't help you there.

Whites are as previously mentioned.

Be careful out there. The flooding wasn't as bad here but things have changed in a few places.
