Default Brookies!! Pics a plenty

Decided to hit up a creek this morning in search of some brook trout and to try out the new rod, I'm taking part in the brook trout suppression project, which is the reason I kept all the Brookies I caught. The cutts were all released.

Those brass coloured brookies are cool. Not sure I've seen them quite like that before.

Well done!

or should I say,

Bon appetit!

It's kind of a shame to have to keep such beautiful fish, but catching a couple cutts and releasing them makes me feel better.

Great photos! I haven't managed to find brookies that big! Your reel is awesome too. Must be an Abel?

It's a Montana Fly Company reel, much much cheaper than an Abel price wise. I've caught mostly small Brookies as well this year, just found the right spot and caught some bigger ones for a change

Thanks for the compliments everyone, my camera is nothing special is an Olympus tough tg-820 waterproof point and shoot, the macro works well and it takes nice pictures, I'm very happy with it. I'm a klutz and this camera takes a beating.
