Default Savage Mark II F Bolt Question

Does anyone know if there is an aftermarket bolt for the Mark II F? I'm finding the bolt handle to be so small and uncomfortable. I'd like to find one similar to the FV SR. I've tried searching the great wide interwebs but almost all of the articles are old and I'm hoping that there is some newer content somewhere that I just haven't seen yet. Anyone have suggestions?

Default Savage Mark II FV-SR

Is the Savage Mark II FV-SR available for purchase in Canada?

What is the diameter of the ball on the Mark II F?
What is the diameter of the ball on the Mark II FV-SR?
I suspect that the Mark II FV-SR, TR & TRR (and possibly others?) use the same bolt handle?

Savage will only sell a bare or replacement bolt if it is returned to the Lakefield Ont. factory for installation.
Their quoted price for a new Mark II TR bolt is CA$50. + 20 for return shipping.

I submit that this cost is not unreasonable,
but that the money would be better used towards the purchase of an FV-SR or TR,
(or even better a Ruger Precision 22 (with 30moa rail)).

Or you could get Bubba to weld a bigger ball on yours.

Good Luck, YMMV

I'm going to suggest the FV-SR one, not just because it fits...but it's also comfortable to use. I may have a lead for you...I'll check.
